Colorado Adventure Bikes FAQ
Yes, the maximum load is 300lbs.

Every participant is required to sign a waiver and rental agreement prior to departing.
Because we operate in all conditions, we strongly encourage our guests to check the local weather so that you can be prepared! Closed toed shoes are required, and long pants are strongly recommended. Temperatures can swing drastically at elevation and on the four hour experience, you may be traveling above treeline so if it looks chilly, consider bringing layers to ensure your comfort.
All guests are provided with a DOT approved helmet which is required to be worn and buckled for the duration of your adventure. We also have a limited number of raincoats and gloves to accommodate guests during inclement weather.
Our recommendations vary depending on the season! During any time of year it is always a good idea to consider water, sunglasses and a face covering. You are welcome to bring along a backpack for the tour. We have a limited number of backpacks, raincoats and gloves to loan out.
We will provide maps and instructions on where the bikes may/may not be ridden prior to departure. The bikes are NOT allowed on state highways or Interstates.
We feel anyone can enjoy our electric bikes. Some level of athleticism is required for safe handling. We do not recommend this activity to those with mobility issues, back problems or pregnant guests.
We run our rentals rain or shine! It’s always best to check out the weather in Dumont Colorado prior to your trip so you know what to expect! It may limit where you are able to go on your ride as we do not recommend riding to the top of the pass in heavy rain or thunderstorms.
Check-in and tour departure takes place at our Dumont Colorado property located 30 miles outside of Downtown Denver. You can use our business name or address for most map programs! Be sure to monitor the traffic/weather and allow for extra travel time if necessary. Interstate 70 is the main thoroughfare into the mountains which can result in extra weekend/holiday traffic, travel times may vary.
Currently there are no viable public transit option to get to us. If you do not have access to a personal or rental vehicle, we recommend checking out the Turo App, Denver Limos or Switchback Van rentals.
***Uber/Lyft are extremely unreliable options and have been known to strand groups for hours.***
We operate with a clear “you break it, you buy it” policy. Our team provides excellent training in the safe handling and operation of the equipment.
If equipment is damaged during your rental, those damages will be assessed. The cost of recovery, replacement parts and labor associated with the repairs will be reviewed. Full payment of all costs is expected on-site, the day of your rental.

We require guests to arrive 30 minutes before their rental time to complete the required paperwork and operational instruction. Late arrival results in less ride time.
If you have not returned your bike by the scheduled time, you will be charged $100 according to our late return policies outlined in the Rental Agreement. If the bike is more than 30 minutes late, an additional $100 will be charged.
We require full payment at the time of booking.
